Report Cards will be in the mail shortly with this newsletter!
Our first grad meeting of the year will be held this coming Thursday, October 22 at 7 pm in the Vanier Cafeteria. All grade 12 students and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. This will primarily be an information meeting, so no major decisions about grad events or the structure of the weekend (May 27/28) will be made as we know there will be some students and parents/guardians who cannot attend.
Going forward, information about graduation can be found on this website by looking in the "School Information" tab (above).
We are pleased to announce that the cafeteria will resume operating on Monday, October 5! Our new operators are the same folks who run the "Talk of the Town Restaurant" in Porter Creek.
They will post their menus on this website - please check out their menu!
Interim reports are sent to all parents/guardians in order to provoke conversations about learning and, in the senior grades, give some indication of the potential grade earned for Term I.
Students and parents/guardians who are interested in furthering this conversation with a teacher are invited to make bookings with individual teachers during Student Led Conferences:
Envelopes and information from Wilson Studios will be arriving home soon for school portraits which are scheduled for Tuesday, September 22.
This year, rather than 5 x 8 pictures of each homeroom, we are offering an 8 x 12 picture of all the students in each grade. These were done for Grades 10-12 last year and we are expanding them to all grades this year based on the positive response from last year - this is why the class photos are more expensive than in previous years - it's a great keepsake!
Despite the possibility of your child's protestations to the contrary, we would really love parents to volunteer in the school! If you are interested in helping out, please let us know by submitting this form to the school office. Please note that we are also actively seeking support of businesses to sponsor our booster card with discounts or cash donations to our student awards fund! Please call the school (667-5901) or email Mr. Sikkes for more information.
