 Attention, parents! Please use the pick-up/drop-off loop near the Student Parking Lot in the morning, and at the end of the day. Please do not park in the Fire Lane, near the front entrance, in the Staff Parking Lot. This causes congestion, and is very dangerous.  October Newsletter 10/06/2011

 The Vanier Library is holding a contest to choose a new school bookmark. You have until Friday, Sept. 30th to doodle, draw, or paint your way to fame. The winner will be announced on Wed., Oct. 5th and will receive a gift certificate from Mac's Books.  Tutoring Program 09/07/2011
 Following the fantastic success of the tutoring program which continued last year, this year’s Tutoring Program will begin Sept 12! Do you need tutoring? All Vanier students can receive free tutoring from other students for assistance in course work, assignments or organizational skills. Students will be matched one on one. To receive tutoring the student needs to complete an application in the Skills Room (Room 3). Do you want to be a tutor? Students in Grade 10, 11 or 12 can apply to be a tutor. Tutors can earn community service hours or an hourly wage. Potential tutors need to come in person to the Skills room and complete an application. Wages range from $12.50 to $17.50 per hour depending on grade level. Tutor training will take place in three sessions on the last Tuesday of the month. This training is free of charge.
