Over the summer, the Yukon Department of Education and the Catholic Episcopal Corporation of Whitehorse completed work on a new faith-based same sex attraction policy entitled, “One Heart: Administering by Love”, a copy of which is included on this website.

The Department of Education has confirmed that the proposed policy is compliant with existing legislation and policy.  The Episcopal Corporation has also aligned that the policy is consistent with Catholic Church teachings.

School Council has been asked to gather feedback on the policy from the School Community and provide that input to the Episcopal Corporation in October.

For those who prefer to provide their feedback orally, Council invites those individuals to attend a public meeting, details of which can be found on the One Heart Policy Feedback web page.
